The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the most outstanding wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya. It is contiguous with the Serengeti National Park in Mara Region, Tanzania. Masai Mara was named in honor of the “Maasai people” and their description of the Masai Mara landscape as seen at from afar; “Mara,” which is Maa in the Maasai language, English meaning “spotted,” as a description for the circles of trees, scrub, savanna, and cloud shadows that mark the area.
Masai Mara globally famous for its large population of lions, cheetahs, leopards and the annual Great Migration of wildebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, and zebra to and from the Serengeti annuarly from July to October.
The Mara Reserve covers some area of about 1,510 km2 and was given National Reserve status in 1974. It is home to all members of the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, cape buffalo, leopard and black rhinoceros. Hippo and crocodiles are found in large groups in the Mara river, other residents within the Mara are; Leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and bat-eared foxes, pangoline and other wild game.
You are met at JKIA airport / your hotel in Nairobi briefed thereafter. Pick up by 10.30am
Day 1. Nairobi/Maasai Mara : Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive to the floor of the Rift Valley - to Maasai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at masai mara Mara Tented Camp.

Day 2. Maasai Mara/Nairobi :Another early morning game drive in Mara, then depart after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi arriving approx. 13:00hrs. Drop at your hotel or transfer to the airport for onward flight home.
